Our customer faced a common and fixable issue, one we've seen many times before: attic mold! Mold, caused by moisture, was present on the sheathing in this attic, it was discovered a bath fan duct had come loose/disconnected and was in turn venting right in the attic. During inspection we found an unsealed and under-insulated attic. We used insulated duct to reconnect the bath fan to route outside the attic and disposed of the contaminated insulation, air sealed with ZypFoam™ and finished with TruSoft™ cellulose.
Our customer reached out after noticing the sheathing, or underside of their roof, was stained and damp. TCI came in, remediated the start of mold (this situation was caught in the nick of time!) and then we proceeded to rid the attic of the contaminated insulation, air sealed the attic floor as well as around gable bath fan ducts. We finished off with TruSoft™ blown-in cellulose insulation to up the R-Value to 60.
Our customer had a Home health audit stating their home could use more insulation to help with the energy bills. Our company removed insulation, air sealed can light covers, top plates and all wire penetrations to ensure no heat was escaping into the attic. We blow in R60 for 17" TruSoft Cellulose Insulation.
Our customer had bats in his attic. Once the bats were all removed we went in and cleaned the attic. Removal of all insulation and new cellulose added once this attic was cleaned.
Removal of batt insulation and cleaning the mold to prepare for air seal and new cellulose insulation. Once that was completed we added R60 or 17" of new TruSoft Cellulose insulation.
