Insulation Upgrade In South Lyon
Challenge
This homeowner noticed differences in temperature in the home, and was also getting a new roof as well as siding and had been brought to a new school of thought: attic systems. Researching all they could, they reached out to TCI in order to ensure the attic system was was working properly. While there was some insulation it was inefficient and the most likely cause of the fluctuation in temperatures.
Solution
The solution; we needed to air seal and re-insulate with cellulose.
So, TCI got to work!
-We removed the existing but inefficient fiberglass batt
-Vacuumed and prepared the area
-Air sealed all the tiny spots and gaps and wiring and top plates where air could travel
-Blew in fresh TruSoft™ Cellulose Insulation to reach an R-Value of 49
-Put in 26 baffles to ensure proper ventilation
