Challenge
The challenge presented to TCI here was to upgrade this insulation to a proper R-Value and ensure it was LEVEL. His existing insulation was not! Also, while some attics are empty and easier to work in, this attic had some things! While some of us have storage spots and personal items, others have random duct work and the occasional mouse trap. Maybe even an old Christmas tree! While daunting to walk into, it's no match for our team!
Solution
Our solution? One step at a time, trusting the process. We cleared, cleaned and utilized the crew to shimmy around with the cellulose insulation blowing machine and hose to make sure that we upgraded the entire attic in a LEVEL fashion. Some spots needed more than others as his previous insulation wasn't level, so the team made sure they were measuring in each section.
