Customer had an inadequate amount of insulation in the attic. We topped the attic with new Cellulose Insulation.
The homeowner called to get new insulation installed into their attic, our solution was to vacuum out the old insulation, air seal all of the penetrations in the in the attic floor
The homeowner originally called us because mold was found on the attic sheathing and trusses during the home inspection when they bought the house. After our inspection and questioning the homeowner it was brought out that the home was also very uncomfortable upstairs and that all the rooms upstairs were cold during the winter.
After purchasing their new home our company was called out for his attic had mold and ventilation issues. After remediation and corrective action for ventilation we also air sealed can lights covers, wire and top plate penetrations we blew in all new cellulose insulation.
Our customer was pleased to have a healthy attic for his new families home.
Our customer had very old and dirty balsam wool batt insulation. Most of which was falling off and missing in many areas. This was creating a problem with the home saying heated and cooled properly. We removed and added R19 batt insulation for this attic was a very small but tricky attic to install.
